Ultra-Trail® Drakensberg
RUN SOUTH AFRICA’S HIGHEST AND MOST REMOTE MOUNTAINS
Ultra-Trail® Drakensberg is a festival of trail running with events of 160km, 100km, 62km, 32km and 21km. All events take place within the Southern area of the internationally renowned Maloti Drakensberg World Heritage Site, and large swathes of this iconic wilderness are traversed.
Incorporating and skirting some of the legendary features of the Southern Drakensberg such as

Participants in Ultra-Trail® Drakensberg will experience mountain running at its very finest.
Choose your race
Ultra-Trail® Drakensberg 160 (UTD160) starts in the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho where it traverses 73km of high altitude terrain.
Ultra-Trail® Drakensberg 100 (UTD100) is 100km in length with 4,158m of vertical climb and occupies an altitude window between 1,600m and 2,865m.
The Giant’s Cup Uncut (GCU62) is 62km in length with 2400m of vertical climb and occupies an altitude window between 1600m and 2150m.
The Sundowner Run (SDR32) is 32km in length with 1,200m of vertical climb and occupies an altitude window between 1,600m and 1,950m.
The Drakensberg Rockjumper Run (DRJ21) is 21km in length with 990m of vertical climb and occupies an altitude window between 1,500m and 1,960m.
