New Brooks Cascadia: Improved Protection and Comfort on Technical Trails
Brooks has launched the 19th version of its legendary trail shoe – the Cascadia 19. This latest version introduces a significant performance overhaul, building on the legacy of the Cascadia 18 while making substantial leaps in cushioning, flexibility, and innovation. Most notably, it features Brooks’ Trail Adapt System, now improved with a co-moulded Ballistic Rock Shield integrated within the midsole for a smoother and more stable ride over rocks and roots.
From wet rock to loose gravel, I trust it to keep me stable and moving forward.
More cushioning and leg protection
The midsole itself now upgrades to DNA Loft v3, a nitrogen-infused foam that is softer, more responsive, and lighter, delivering plush comfort without compromising control. Whether you’re navigating loose singletrack or forest switchbacks, the Cascadia 19 offers stable, all-terrain performance with added plushness and improved flexibility underfoot. The TrailTack Green outsole, made with 25% recycled rubber, ensures reliable grip across wet and dry conditions – while a redesigned lug layout with centre grooves improves adaptability on hardpack and rocky surfaces.
“Out on the trails, conditions can shift in an instant, but the Cascadia 19 keeps me ready for anything,” says Brooks athlete Luke Grenfell-Shaw, a professional trail runner. “From wet rock to loose gravel, I trust it to keep me stable and moving forward.”
Where does the Cascadia 19 fit?
In the Brooks trail lineup, the Cascadia 19 strikes a perfect middle ground. It’s the most versatile and protective option for technical trails, compared to the Catamount, which is lighter and built for speed with propulsion-focused cushioning, and the Caldera, designed for ultra-distance running with maximum stack and a rocker geometry. The Cascadia shines when stability, traction, and all-conditions performance are paramount. The Cascadia 19 is CarbonNeutral® certified, with increased recycled material usage and carbon offset support that reflects Brooks’ long-term commitment to sustainability.
