Investgold Two Lagoons Race [CANCELLED]

The organisers of the Investgold Wilderness Festival decided that, in accordance with government’s decision to cancel all gatherings of 100 or more people, to cancel the 2020 Wilderness Festival.

On Sunday 15 March, president Cyril Ramaphosa announced that all gatherings of 100 or more people will be banned in an attempt to stop the spread of the Covid-19 (Corona) virus. Therefore the 2020 Wilderness Festival will not continue.

The health risk to exhibitors and festival visitors is a major concern, and we are committed to the fight against the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

We are convinced that the cancellation of the 2020 event is in the interest of everyone involved, including the residents of the coastal town of Wilderness. We are in the process of contacting all artists and exhibitors and will engage in negotiations to determine the way forward.

As organisers, we are looking at a number of possibilities in order to find alternatives, and will inform all stakeholders of our decisions.

The 30km race follows an undulating route and serves as ideal training for Comrades and Two Oceans. The 10km is fast and flat and is run partly on gravel roads. The 2km Fun Run is ideal for kids and walkers alike.

Medals are awarded to all finishers and handsome cash prizes to category winners. Lucky draw prizes include a weekend getaway for two, a game drive and meal vouchers.

Pre-entries, on aswd.co.za, close on 10 April, and at Top Gear Sport on Meade Street, on 11 April at 5pm. You can also enter at the venue on 12 April, between 2pm and 5pm.
