Ice Queen Ultra Trail
Kingdom Trails, a sprawling 15,000-hectare game farm nestled in the Olifants River Valley, embodies raw, untamed beauty.
The IQ route, known for its technical prowess and unforgiving nature, takes racers on a challenging journey, descending into the valley eight times over treacherous, rocky terrain, often necessitating boulder hopping.
Two river crossings await at the low-level water bridge over the Olifants River, complete with a dedicated boat crew on standby in case of high water levels. As the sun sets, racers are treated to breathtaking views, making the night race an unforgettable experience.
The landscape teems with wildlife, including giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, leopards, bush pigs, hippos, and crocodiles, promising encounters with nature at its most primal. Temperatures during this season typically range between 0 and 2 degrees Celsius.
