The picturesque PPC Riebeek Bergmarathon returns for its 34th consecutive year, to the beautiful Riebeek Valley countryside on Saturday, 3 August 2019.

PPC Ltd is known for its efforts in supporting local communities, and is the proud sponsor of this family favourite event. If you haven’t already signed up to run this year’s race, then you could still win a double entry (details below).

Two Oceans qualifier

The PPC Riebeek Bergmarathon welcomes athletes and their families to take a break from the city and enjoy the quaint countryside. The event, also a Two Oceans Marathon qualifying race, offers a variety of distances – perfect for the whole family.

Experienced runners can tackle the 42,2km marathon or the 21,1km half marathon while novice runners can join in on the spirit of the day at a more relaxed pace with the 10km run/walk or 5km fun run/walk. This year, the JP21 Foundation and friends of the foundation will be taking part in the 10km race and activities of the day.

The PPC Riebeek Bergmarathon prides itself in bringing together seasoned athletes, families, friends and communities by providing activities for all to participate in.

Give back with PPC

Runners are encouraged to assist PPC with their promise of going beyond by donating a pair of running shoes on the day that will be handed over to a local school in the Riebeek Valley.

This is yet another community development initiative in which PPC’s role in community empowerment, in shown. PPC supports 100% local and strongly believes in giving back to the communities they work in.

In the past 33 years of being the main sponsor of this event, we have also managed to assist many runners in fulfilling their dreams of becoming marathon runners and this year, it’s not any different. The Riebeek Bergmarathon will again start and finish at the PPC Riebeek Factory, Riebeek West.
