Entries for UTCT Open Today: Here’s What You Need To Know
Don't miss out and get in there early!
Entries for the iconic RMB Ultra-trail Cape Town (UTCT) open today at 12pm (Thursday 26 February) and, if past years are anything to go by, they won’t last long. With six race distances spanning a single, spectacular mountain range, this is one of the most sought-after trail events on the calendar.
KS16 and EX23
Both events sell out in hours, so get online quickly to secure your entry. Substitutions are hard to come by.
TM35 and PT55
These two events are usually sold out within a few days, but the race’s popularity continues to grow, and entries could sell out quicker than organisers have previously experienced.
UT100 and UTCT miler
The UT100 was close to selling out in 2025 and could sell out in 2026, while the UTCT miler event traditionally has some capacity.
Set your alarm, be ready, and don’t hesitate – the race to secure a spot starts now.

Race weekend takes place from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 November 2026.
Runners from all over the country and the world are expected to descend on UTCT, as it offers them a chance to experience similar trails ahead of the 2027 World Mountain and Trail Running Championships, scheduled for October in the Mother City.
