NOVABLAST™ 5
The latest updates to the new fan-favourite NOVABLAST™ deliver a uniquely comfortable and energised running experience through a combination of lightweight materials and ASICS’ new midsole material.

In line with the ASICS Design Philosophy which respects the Japanese principle of kaizen, ‘continuous improvement’, and is reflected in every new product, the NOVABLAST™ 5 shoe introduces innovative updates to the midsole foam, upper and tongue tooling and overall design elements.

New Materials
Initially introduced on the GLIDERIDE™ MAX shoe, the NOVABLAST™ 5 shoe features FF BLAST^TM MAX foam cushioning which helps increase the bounce properties by approximately 8.5% compared to the previous model. Currently, the NOVABLAST™ 5 shoe is the only shoe in the ASICS range that utilises a complete FF BLAST™ MAX technology midsole.

The upper of the NOVABLAST™ 5 shoe has also been improved for comfort. It now utilises an engineered Jacquard mesh that enhances breathability compared to its predecessor’s woven upper. Taking inspiration from the SUPERBLAST™ footwear line, the tongue construction of the NOVABLAST™ 5 shoe mirrors the gusseted wing design to help create a secure lockdown and instill confidence during runs.

Design Language
The NOVABLAST™ 5 shoe retains its signature geometric midsole appearance, a standout feature since its inception five years ago. The design lines are intended to create an illusion of dimensional warp as the runner moves through their stride.

“We approached the design and structure in a way that would allow the FF BLAST™ MAX to show its full potential for the consumer,” said Yosuke Atarashi, Senior Designer of Footwear at ASICS and lead designer of the NOVABLAST™ 5 shoe. “Visually, we wanted the design to mimic the wearer’s dynamic experience and underfoot feeling as they run.”

The midsole and outsole construction incorporates enhancements that build on its predecessor’s energy, bounce,and comfortable ride. A pod-like groove in the forefoot improves the springy sensation, helping runners feel propelled forward with each step.

GEL-NIMBUS™ 27
The GEL-NIMBUS™ 27 is the latest evolution of ASICS’ flagship neutral-cushioned running shoe, designed to enhance comfort that goes the distance. Featuring cloudlike cushioning, an increased stack height and a new upper material, the GEL-NIMBUS™ 27 shoe provides superior comfort for long, calming runs.

An extra 2mm of enhanced FF BLAST™ PLUS ECO cushioning, made from approximately 24% bio-based content, has been added underfoot – contributing to the shoe’s comfort without increasing its weight significantly. This additional cushioning in the midsole improves softness and takes the shoe’s comfort levels to new heights.

Also new is the Engineered Jacquard Mesh upper, a lightweight and breathable mesh material that replaces the knit upper of the previous model, that ensures your feet stay cool and comfortable throughout your runs.

The GEL-NIMBUS™ 27 shoe proudly leverages ASICS’ signature rearfoot PureGEL™ technology, a material that is lighter and approximately 65% softer than conventional GEL™ technology, providing even softer landings. The HYBRID ASICSGRIP™ outsole, a strategic combination of ASICSGRIP™ and AHARPLUS™ rubber, delivers exceptional traction, softness, and durability, ensuring that every stride is comfortable.
