The ITEC African Oxpecker Trail Run
Day 1 (20km) follows the banks of the Tugela River, and climbs up Spioenkop Mountain. Single tracks descend from the mountain and pass herds of antelope and Giraffe. Day 2 (16km) starts with a fun ride in a traditional taxi to the top of a secret starting line, located at the top of a hill on a traditional cattle and irrigation farm. Run through fields of maize and pastures with grazing cattle, and through thick African bush veld on purpose-built single tracks.
Starting time: 8am
Tented accommodation is offered, or you can bring your own tent or stay at a nearby B&B.
Prizes are awarded to category winners.
