Pura Soda Race2Stanford is a triathlon in Western Cape, covering 1.9km swim, 90km bike and 21.1km run, on 10 November 2018.

A 1.9km swim in the new Harbour of Hermanus, a 90km bike course through the magnificent Hemel en Aarde wine Valley, over Shaws Pass via Caledon, and a 21.1km run in the quaint and picturesque historic village of Stanford. Prize money is R32,000.

This year sees the introduction of a 7km family fun run on the beautiful Wandelpad, along the Stanford River and through a game reserve. There are over 200 bird species, 30 of which are endemic to South Africa. The first male and female to cross the finish line are awarded R1,000.

Families and supporters can enjoy a short, historical walking tour in the morning. Enjoy a picnic at the finish on the green, or on the banks of the peaceful tree-lined banks of the majestic Klein River. There are boat cruises along the river, which boasts over 200 different bird species, 30 of which are endemic to South Africa – local wine is served on board.

All races finish in Stanford’s Olde-English style village square, where there is a traditional-farm style market. Supporters and spectators are served artisan farm foods, cheese, wine, gin and craft beer.
