Momentum Knysna Forest Marathon and Half Marathon
Momentum Knysna Forest Marathon and Half Marathon is a road-running race, marathon and half marathon in Western Cape, covering 42.2km and 21.1km, on 7 July 2018.
There are taxis to the start of the race from Loerie Park, at 4:30am, which will return athletes after the race. Free tea, coffee and biscuits are served inside a cosy Bedouin tent in the forest, before the race starts.
To celebrate the 35th running of the event, a unique indigenous timber shield will be awarded to the first 800 finishers of the marathon, silver medals to the first 800 finishers and bronze medals to all other finishers.
Pre-entries, available on knysnamarathonclub.com, close on 11 May or when the entry limite has been reached. Entries are limited to 1250 for the 42.2km and 7350 for the half marathon.
Chosen beneficiaries are: Hands & Heart Project, NSRI Knysna Station 12, Die Werks Winkel and Knysna Child Welfare.Clothing is collected for underprivaledged communities during registration.
