With over 2000 participants in 2019, the PPC Riebeek Bergmarathon in Cape Town is back for its 35th year on July 29, 2023. This race calls on all families and community members to join in on the fun. Participants can choose from the 42.2km race, the 21km as well as the 10km and the 5km fun walk/run. 

PPC is empowering the community to experience a better quality of life. The benefits of exercise go far beyond the physical and the Riebeek marathon allows for the novice to take advantage of this spirit.

“Taking you through a picturesque and scenic course around Riebeek, the event challenges all participants to beat previous records and have their names registered amongst best performers in the annual race’s history books,” says JP Duminy, South African Cricket player and founder of JP21 Project.

Runners participating in this race have the opportunity to qualify for the Two Oceans Marathon. Gaining this qualification at the PPC Riebeek Bergmarathon allows all qualifying participants to showcase their skills and be celebrated by the Riebeek community.

‘’Having participated in the race, I encourage the community and surrounding areas to be involved in this initiative. We are thrilled to see past participants and welcome new faces to join the races.
