Sanlam Cape Town Marathon & Trail Runs

The 42.2km Sanlam Cape Town Marathon is a prestigious global city race open to a range of running enthusiasts.

Along the spectacular route, you will take in:

• The famous natural icon of Cape Town Mountain
• The Atlantic Ocean
• Many of the city’s great attractions
• The Madiba Statue at the City Hall
• The hustle and bustle of Woodstock

This year, in collaboration with South African ultra-distance trail running sensation, Ryan Sandes, the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon introduces a new marathon trail through the world-renowned Table Mountain National Park.

With 46km and 2200m of vert, runners will traverse from the stadium to above the city through the Table Mountain National Park.

The trail weaves through one of the world’s most diverse floral kingdoms, the Cape Floristic Region. Many of the species seen on this trail cannot be found anywhere else on Earth.

The 22km Sanlam Cape Town Trail Run route will take you above the bustling city and immerse you in the sights and sounds of nature.

Enjoy stunning city and iconic Table Mountain vistas and sweeping Atlantic Ocean views.

The cut off for the 22km is a generous five hours.
