Two Oceans Marathon Trail Runs [CANCELLED]

Africa’s biggest running event and Cape Town’s most prestigious race also features one of the best Trail Runs anywhere in South Africa. The Two Oceans Trail Run (TOTR) boasts nestled pathways and dramatic landscapes through Newlands Forest to the lower slopes of Devil’s Peak and beyond. As such, TOTR is also acclaimed as one of the most scenic and spectacular Trail Runs anywhere in the world.

Trail Run participants start at the University of Cape Town (UCT) at the top of the celebrated Jammie Steps. From there, you’ll head to Newlands Forest, encountering an exciting and exacting route, whether you’re an adventurous beginner or more seasoned at tackling trails. Expect to encounter steep ascents, technical descents and everything in between!

In TOM 2018, clubs were invited to nominate a handful of promising trail runners for sponsorship. TOM was delighted to host these talented 18-to-21-year-old athletes, for whom the event would otherwise likely have been inaccessible. So gifted were these club-nominated trail athletes, that all of them secured a top-ten finish.
