Merrell Autumn Run
Winds though the lush Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens – voted the best place to get back to nature in Gauteng for nine years in a row – and climbs the relentless ridges of the adjoining Muldersdrift Hobby Park. The 12km and 20km routes head into open, rocky highland grassland and include more technical sections, and the 6km loop is also challenging. Fiercely competed or enjoyed at a more leisurely pace, both pass by a cascading waterfall and cliffs home to a breeding pair of majestic Verreaux Eagles.
Afterwards, enjoy a picnic inside the Gardens. Food and drink are sold, and there’s a jumping castle for kids.
