The 2022 Comrades Marathon distance is the second longest since 1999 but most of the ‘Down’ distances in the last 20 years are between 88km and 90km.

Those distances shown in Miles (M) are the estimated distances given by the organisers. Except in a few isolated instances, the course was not measured. The distance was given as approximate. Comrades 2019 was an ‘Up’ run and measured 86.83km.
