IN PICTURES: 16 Of Our Favourite Shots From Ultra-Trail Cape Town

The Ultra-Trail Cape Town is South Africa’s premier ultra-trail running event, offering a 100km, 65km and 35km distance which all traverse the mountains of the Cape Peninsula.

The 2019 event was dominated by the international contingent in the men’s and the women’s race, with the performance of the day being Great Britain’s Beth Pascall’s convincing breaking of the women’s record by 26 minutes, and placing 9th overall.

The UTCT 100km race is the final event on the Ultra-trail World Tour calendar, and is a firm favourite among trail runners and photographers alike, due to it’s brutal nature, the beauty of the course, and variety of terrain.
