Brooks Cascadia 16: A Smooth Ride in a Rugged Shoe

Run trails with confidence in this durable, protective shoe. All-terrain stability, soft cushioning, and rugged protection add up to one smooth ride.

Most Innovative To Date

Brooks introduced EVA cushioning to shoes way back in 1975. The cushioning system has consistently been researched and developed and the Cascadia 16 is using Brooks’ most innovative cushioning to date: DNA Loft V2.

It’s softer and more flexible than any previous foam, and with 2mm more under the forefoot than version 15.

Great Combos – Firm But Soft

The extra cushioning, together with the rock shield, creates an impressive balance of firmness when you need it, but a soft ride for those long runs on the roughest trails.

The Trail Track Rubber outsole has grippy medium size lugs to handle a variety of conditions, and provides great traction in wet and dry terrain.

The result is a stable ride that inspires confidence on any trail.

To The Point

Delight In The Detail

A shoe of this class comes into its own in the detail. A tab on the heel to secure a gaiter and a gusset to keep out sand and small debris, while drainage ports allow water to escape quickly. And the lace keeper stores laces out of the way.
