Ahead of marathon season, adidas will bring together some of the fastest runners in the world to Herzogenaurach on Sunday 12 September in a bid to break world records across the 5km, 10km and half marathon distances, around a unique course that incorporates the adidas campus.
Called the Adizero Road To Records event, many of the brand’s top athletes will be competing in a bid to set up some fast times.
The races will start at 7am CEST (same as SA time), and will be broadcast live on the adidas running YouTube channel HERE So anyone can watch!
The commentators of the livestream will be Geoff Wightman and Uta Pippig together with a few adidas brand spokespeople, and world half marathon record holder Peres Jepchirchir will speak in the breaks between each race.
Athletes include 10k world record holder Rhonex Kipruto, two-time 5k world champion Muktar Edris, World Cross Country Championships 5k silver medallist Senbere Teferi and two-time World Athletics Championship 10k bronze medallist Agnes Jebet Tirop.
