SUMMARY:Bay Ultra Marathon powered by Amobia
DESCRIPTION:The Bay Ultra powered by Amobia is one of only two ultra-distance races in the Eastern Cape which have prestige and participation league status and is the only one staged in Port Elizabeth. Because of its position in the road running calendar\, it is a qualifying event for the Two Oceans Marathon and Comrades Marathon\, and is often used by athletes to gauge their training for these internationally known events. \nThe 50km is a circular course starting at Pollok Beach\, going through Walmer and onto Upper Seaview Road;  the route then takes runners on to Sardinia Bay Road\, Victoria Drive and then back along Marine Drive where runners enjoy the scenic\, pristine Eastern Cape coastline. The 21.1km is a fast\, flat out-and-back route along Marine Drive. \nEnter Online (www.bayultra.co.za) or local entries may be handed in at Brian Bands\, Action Sports in Walmer and Summerstrand and UB Sports in Uitenhage.

SUMMARY:STBB Red Hill Marathon & Classic
DESCRIPTION:The STBB Red Hill Marathon takes place on the 25th of January 2020\, starting from Fish Hoek Athletic Club. \nRunners will line up facing away from Peer’s Cave and set off along the secondary road. After approximately 100 meters\, at the fork with this road and what is nominally 21st Avenue\, the runners will proceed through the Corsair Way Robots and four-way robots.   The route then takes the runners through Kommetjie\, Misty Cliffs\, Scarborough\, and at the Perdekloof Picnic site\, the Marathon runners will veer off towards Cape Point for a 6km loop\, while the Classic runners will continue over Red Hill. The Marathon runners will join the same route again after the loop. \nThe runners join up with the Simonstown Main Road at the end of Red Hill\, and continue towards Fish Hoek. \nTurn right into 2nd ave\, left into Recreation Road\, right into Central circle\, right into Disa road\, left into Erica Rd\, right into Elgin Circle\, left into Genoa\, Right into upper Recreation Road\, and then proceed to the Poplar Road footpath.  Once through the footpath\, they proceed along Poplar Road\, before turning right onto the gravel road at the municipal yard\, left onto the sports field and to the finish outside the Athletic Club. \nRed Hill Marathon is an official qualifier for the Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon and Comrades

What better way than running through beautiful vineyards to the Klapmutskop trail network with spectacular views of the Winelands and Table Mountain in the distance. \nThe first event in the 2020 FALKE Trail Run series\, presented by Sportsmans Warehouse. \nYes – 10 big official runs during the year where there will be categories\, series winners and loads of prizes! \nThere are four distances to choose from at Delvera\, so whether you a beginner or experienced\, there is something for all abilities. \nCOST: Pre-entries close on the 15th Jan and will be limited:\n5km – R120\, 7.5km – R130\, 12.5km – R150\, 15km – R160 \nAll PRE-ENTRANTS who are under 18 years of age will pay only R50 entry fee! Note that late entries under 18 will pay the normal late entry fee. No discount! \nLate entries taken on event day\, if available. Walkers welcome and easy enough for trail run novices. Bring your own water please.\n7.5km loop – This green route has jeep track and three fun singletrack sections.  One refreshment station about halfway at Pepper Tree is also the start of the downhill just below Klapmutskoppie.\n12.5km route – This blue route will give you more of a work-out and climbs on jeep track amongst the vineyards towards Klapmutskop. About 8km of some singletrack and the trail meets the last part of the green route just before the refreshment station.\n15km route – the same as the 12.5km with an extra 3km singletrack section to the top of the Koppie that is rocky and steep – for fit runners only! A self-help water can about halfway and a refreshment station about 4km from the finish. We suggest runners take their own water too. \nTiming by Amarider Trail Tag – available for rent (R20) or buy (R100). All results are submitted to Discovery for Vitality points on condition you have timing results on www.trailtag.co.za. Results are live to all pre-entrants; late entries & changes will only be live by the Monday afternoon. \nGENERAL INFO:  A medal to all finishers!  The one refreshment station on long routes (Powerade\, fruit & jellies) and drinks at the finish for all!

The event starts in Camps Bay and proceeds over the long climb at Llandudno into Hout Bay and turns at the halfway point at the famous “World of Birds”\, and returns along the same route over the infamous Suikerbossie Hill to finish at the Maidens Cove recreational area. \nIn recent years a 15 kilometer event has been added starting in Hout Bay harbour\, as well as a 5km fun run. \nThe race has grown over recent years from 2500 participants to 5000 across all distances\, this is mainly due to the amazing views and race “gees”\, plus this event has also for many years been the main event in January on the Cape Town road running calendar\, as its an early tester for runners who have their sights on the TWO OCEANS and COMRADES marathons. \nThis is an online entry only event and entries are limited to 5700. (Trail shoes are not required.) The routes are not suitable for prams or wheelchairs and no dogs are allowed.\n\n\nFrom its start in 1993 until 2014\, the 16 km race was held at the Chrysalis Academy and ran up the mountain through the SANParks Tokai Forest Plantation. Unfortunately a mountain fire devastated this route in 2015 and the race has since been held at the Cape Academy of Maths and Science in Firgrove Way. The route through the Tokai Greenbelts has proven to be very popular and is now the official new route. DESCRIPTION:After the success of last year’s inaugural Wild Boar Sunset Trail Run  at Val du Charron Wine & Leisure Estate we decided to host our 2nd Wild Boar Sunset Trail Run on the 16th of December 2020. This is a public holiday so family and friends can all join us at Val Du Charron. \nYou can also cool down after your run on the Splashpad at the end of the route. \nRunners can dress up in red to celebrate the Festive Season!!!! \nWe will have three distances to cater for all. \nINFO: \n5km  –  Start  18:30  –  R100 \n10km  –  Start  18:15   –  R130 \n20km  –  Start  17:30  –  R180 \nR30 Late entry fee on the day. \nRunners must please come early to collect their race numbers.  Also make sure that you hand these numbers back as we are using them at all our events. \nMedals for all finishers. \nGreat vibe\, good food\, wine and craft beer. \nShould you wish to eat at the Pizza Vista Restaurant after your run you should rather book a table to avoid disappointment. 021 – 873 1256.

DESCRIPTION:The Chintsa Runners running club look forward to hosting you at the 6th annual Chintsa Trail Run 2019! We\, the Chintsa Runners are a community-based running club in Chintsa Bay\, Wild Coast\, South Africa. We run as a project of Friends of Chintsa (registered public benefit organisation; 930055764 NPO) with the objective to inspire and support runners in our community. All proceeds go toward entries into running events throughout the year.
