There are 2 waterstations\, 1 at the 6km mark and the 2nd at 14km. \n11\,5km – Elevation: 150m \nWith only 150m of climbing the route is fast and flat with the biggest climb at only 50m of elevation over 1km. There is 1 waterstation at the 6km mark. \n7km – Elevation: 80m \nThe perfect route for beginners on open wide tracks and minimal elevation. Note that there are no waterpoints on this route.

DESCRIPTION:Join in for the Green Forest Trail Run Series – Race #1\, a downhill run through the beautiful forests of Grabouw. The run is ideal for trail runners and road runners alike. Whether you are aiming to set a new course record or just enjoy the beautiful vistas\, this event is for you. You are guaranteed to have a blast on this scenic DOWNHILL run through the majestic hills of Grabouw. \nThe Green Forest Trail Run Series is a series of 3 downhill runs through the beautiful forests of the Western Cape\, all within less than an hour from Cape Town. \nEach event offers a choice of the following routes (approximate distance): \n\n5km fun run that is aimed at novice runners and families. The majority of the route will be non-technical but we keep it interesting and give you a taste of what you can expect when you sign up for either of the longer routes.  This route starts and finishes at the bottom of the forest and generally follows a flat’ish course. This route is not officially timed but we will have prizes for the top placed runners.\n\n\n10km downhill forest run starts at Point A\, high up in the forest and finishes at Point B way below. We will bus you to the start point before the race. We try to avoid the uphills as much as possible\, but generally throw in one or two to ensure that you enjoy your well deserved coke at the finish.  The route is chosen for its scenic beauty and fast flowing trails\, which presents a great opportunity to improve on your Personal Best.\n\n\n21km downhill forest run starts at Point A\, high up in the forest and finishes at Point B way below. We will bus you to the start point before the race . We try to avoid the uphills as much as possible\, but forests being as they are\, there will always be a few short and sharp ones\, just to keep you on your toes! Competitors are guaranteed beautiful vistas as they wind their way down through the forest\, vineyard and orchards.\n\nEach event makes a contribution to a local conservation initiative or charity in close vicinity to the venue. \nEntries are limited to 500 so there is a chance that there will not be entries left on the day\, enter early to avoid disappointment and to guarantee your spot in the lucky draw for entering all the races.

The Kruger Park half marathon held in and around the small staff village of Skukuza in the heartland of one of Africa’s greatest wildlife refuges – the Kruger National Park. \nTwo hours before the start of the race a squad of rangers whose task it is to ensure the safety of all athletes during the race\, travel by vehicle and on foot along the course to herd off any big game which would disrupt the race. DESCRIPTION:If you are one of those people that wanted to get into shape for summer then our 6th event on the Run The Vines calendar on National Women’s Day on the 9th of August 2019 at Olsen Private Vineyards is the place to be. \nAgain participants will be treated to an amazing venue and the hospitality of farm manager Armand Botha. Runners on the 5km route will experience the beautiful view from the water point that is situated halfway up the Klein Drakenstein Mountains while the 10km runners run a “loop” in the forest that almost turns at the entrance to the Hugenot Tunnel. Our 17km runners will be challenged with an extra 7km on the adjacent farms. Back to the water point for the second time and all runners will then head downhill towards the majestic Olsen Winery that belongs to Greg Olsen who was only the 3rd civilian to go to the International Space Station. \nWhile enjoying the hospitality at the Olsen Winery the runners\, family and friends will again be entertained to a fun prize giving session with prizes up for grabs for the best dressed mail runners dressed as “ladies”!!! \nInfo: \nUnder /12 – 3km Henties Junior Challenge — Free – Start 8:45  Adults can accompany the kids at R50 per person. \n5km Run The Vines  –  R100  –    Start:   8:30 \n10km Run The Vines  –  R120 – Start:   8:15 \n17km Run The Vines  –  R150 – Start:   7:45 \nRegistration will be open from 6:45. \n7R30 Late entry fee. \nTiming by Timing.mobi. DESCRIPTION:TrailFun has teamed up with ILoveBoobies to bring you the best start to Womans Day you could think of … trail running and Durbanville Hills Wine. \nFor the first-timers and easy-going runners you can enter the short Route of 5km\, while the seasoned campaigners can have a bash at the longer route of 10km (its a loop).  This is an excellent run for those learning to run technical long downhills.  Uphills are split to make it easier for beginners but still challenging for those running 10km. \nILoveBoobies is a non-profit company and public benefit organization that raises funds to give rural South Africa access to mobile health screening clinics across social\, physical and economic barriers.  Our aim is to pay for 30 screenings\, a full day for one Mobile Clinic.  There is no additional cost for you\, TrailFun will donate a portion of each entry fee to ILoveBoobies – all you have to do is join us for a walk or run and some wine tasting afterwards.   ILoveBoobies will have a stand with all their  apparel on sale (think amazing socks) and details of where and how donations are used. \nDon’t miss out on the fun family vibe\, excellent lucky draw prizes and lots of Durbanville Hills Wine. \nThis event is capped at 300 participants.

The Daisy Challenge takes place in one of the most beautiful regions in South Africa. DESCRIPTION:Following the format of an Olympic distance triathlon\, the 5150 triathlon (pronounced as ‘fifty-one-fifty’) comprises of a 1.5km swim\, a 40km bike and a 10km run. The 5150 triathlons are seen as an ideal introduction to competitive triathlon\, so whether you are a beginner\, or seasoned triathlete looking for the next race\, the 5150 event is the ideal race. Along with the Olympic distance event\, all 5150 events feature FUNTRI distances for individuals and teams. The FUNTRI is a shorter distance triathlon that consists of a 400m swim\, a 20km bike and a 5km run. FUNTRI events offer the perfect introductory distances to those who are curious about trying triathlon for the very first time and entries are open to anyone from the age of 14 years on the day of the race. This will encourage younger athletes to become involved in triathlon\, while participating with more relaxed rules than typical\, longer distance triathlon events. Teams of 2 or 3 individuals will be allowed to enter the FUNTRI distance\, however\, the Olympic distance is for individuals only (no teams will be allowed to enter). \nAthletes swim 1.5km in the ski dam on the resort\, bike 40km northbound on the hilly D10-Alma Road and run a flat\, undulating 10km course in the resort.  The bushveld resort setting makes the race a great triathlon weekend get-away and it is close enough for the large Gauteng triathlon community to travel to\, while providing the ideal setting for an African getaway to international athletes.  Warmbaths Forever Resorts features a range of activities including water skiing\, quad biking\, private game reserve drives\, water slides and naturally heated outdoor pools\, as well as a spa and indoor/outdoor hydro with therapeutic natural springs for the ultimate post-race relaxation.
