SUMMARY:Thula Moya Trail Run
DESCRIPTION:New event\, new run\, new route!  The Thula Moya Trail Run\, set on the beautiful Thula Moya farm just outside St Francis Bay\, is part of the inaugural Cape St Francis Resort Amanzi Challenge and will take place on Sunday 20 March at 08h00.  Distances are 5km (walkers welcome)\, 10km and 21km however due to the sensitivity of the area\, which is a conservation reserve\, no dogs are allowed. \nOnline entries close on Saturday 19 March at 18h00.  The 1st 100 runners will receive a free Amanzi Challenge T-shirt.  On the day entries will be possible but a penalty fee will be payable. \nThe entry fees are: \n5km:  R50 (on the day R80) \n10km:  R100 (on the day R150) \n21km:  R180 (on the day R230). \nNumber collection and late registration can be done at the Cape St Francis Resort on Saturday between 15h00 and 17h00.  Number collection on Sunday is from 07h00 with race briefing at 07h45. \nThere will be waterpoints where possible\, but it is advised to be self-sufficient. \nFor more information\, phone Esti on 073 825 0835 or email chokkatrail@gmail.com.

DESCRIPTION:This run is to assist this very special boy\, Little Mason Van Dyk who was welcomed into the world on 6 March 2013. \nMason was born with an extremely rare and severe form of Ichthyosis\, Harlequin Ichthyosis (HI).  There is no cure for this condition. HI is a rare skin disorder that prevents the skin from forming a protective layer and impairs skin functions that we take for granted. Despite the many physical challenges\, Mason’s mental and intellectual development is normal. \nAt birth\, Mason was given only 5 days to survive. Being the fighter that he is\, and with his big heart and wittiest personality\, Mason defied the odds and turned 9 years on 6 March. \nAll parents face the financial challenges of raising kids and meeting their needs on a daily basis.  With special needs children those costs can be quite astronomical. \nRegistration on the day starts at 07h00 \n10km – start time 08h00 \n5km   – start time 08h10 \nCut-off 10h30

Names like Draaikraal\, Granaatdraai\, Donkiestasie\, Arrie se Punt\, Pramkoppie and numerous others marks areas of significance including ancient burial sites on route. ATTENTION ALL 5km RUNNERS AND ADVENTURERS \nThis will be a run like no other…what is waiting…? \n1. Cableway ride to the top of the mountain…yes! The 5km starts right at the top\, it’s an 80% downhill run! \n2. The 5km runners will see ALL the great sights\, spots\, and trails! \n3. Perfect adventure for the whole family! Run\, hike\, stop\, look\, just enjoy the adventure! \n4. The cableway ride is only for the 5km runners. \nBRING THE WHOLE FAMILY! \nWe know the little ones and want to come with and we have good news. With the Iron Throne Wildlife sanctuary in the same venue\, kids can go for tours to see lions\, snakes\, leopards\, cheetahs\, tigers\, spiders\, and much more.
