DESCRIPTION:Nestled within a natural amphitheater shaped by the vertical cliffs of the spectacular Simonsberg Mountain\, lies Vrede en Lust Estate – home to the wines produced and bottled by the Buys-family. \nOn the 29th of October 2022 the farm will be hosting their seventh annual Pink Xtreme Trail Run to help raise funds for CANSA during Cancer Awareness month. \nLast year we were able to raise R170 000 for CANSA and this year we hope to increase that number by at least R20 000. \nRunners on the 21km and 10km trail will run a challenging but beautiful trail through the old forestry towards the mountain with some of the most spectacular views on offer in the Paarl / Franschhoek region. \nThe 5km route will meander through the vineyards at Vrede and Lust. \nYou are welcome to walk the 5km and 10km routes but please do not walk the 21 km. \nThe Lust restaurant under new management by Ed Saunders will make sure that great meals are served. DESCRIPTION:As part of the Greyton ReWild Weekend on 7-9 October\, on the Friday evening (7 October)\, you can explore the trails around Greyton by moonlight.  There will be a 6km and 12km full moon trail run.  The race is organised by the non-profit\, Wild Restoration\, in partnership with the Greyton Trail Running Society\, the people who have brought you Greyton Brew Run and Mountain Marathon. \nAll the proceeds go to alien clearing and rewilding the mountains around Greyton.  A headtorch is required for the 12km and recommended for the 6km (a torch on a phone will work too). \nDistances and routes \n\n12km Trail Run – for the more experienced trail runner\, with two big hills and total climbing of 400m.\n6km Trail Run (or walk) – a flat\, easy route suitable for walkers\, families and children. 100m total climbing.

DESCRIPTION:Come join us at Capaia Wines this Heritage Day and celebrate with a proudly South African boerewors braai! \nWhether a novice trail runner or an experienced adventure enthusiast\, we now have 3 route options available for all fitness levels.  Plus a delicious boerewors roll included in your entry and fantastic lucky draw prizes. \nRoutes \nA short 4.6km around the dam and loop down through the vineyards with a max elevation of 110m. Perfect for families and walkers. \nOur longer 10km is great for intermediate runners\, taking you around the dam and over the rise to some single track which wraps back around and down through the vineyards and back up to the finish with a max elevation of 200m. \nWe have added a new 21km which will be a great option for the experience trail runners looking for a challenge. \nGrab your boerewors roll at Mariella’s Restaurant when you finish. Wristband presented to collect. \nRegistration: \n– from 6:30am (at Capaia) \n– 21km runners to be registered by 7:10 latest as the shuttle will take you to the start at 7:15am \n– Collect your race wristband & timing chip \n– Vehicle keys / valuables can be handed in for safe keeping (while you race) \n– Main parking will be on the farm opposite Capaia’s entrance.
