| This race certainly is something special...apart from the ever-encouraging race staff and volunteers, the scenery just keeps on coming...By the end of the day all the "landmarks" - Witsies, the Sentinel, switchbacks, chain ladders, Amphitheatre and the Gulley are etched into your memory - not to mention your legs. To run Monty is truly to Carpe Diem, an epic journey for body and soul (sole). | |

We runners may be biased in our opinions and race reviews, but when sponsors maintain their unqualified support during these difficult economic times, you know the race is something special. Well done to Kim Faure and her team for hosting another brilliant event. | |

| Excellent Race, not for the faint hearted. Will train harder for next years event and spend more time running off road. Scenery spectacular and I do not think much more could have been done to make this event better. | |

| The most difficult race I have ever run but the most beautiful race-absolutely well organised from start to finish-complemented with friendly runners that were able to assist fellow runners in their times of need. The paid endured post race is well worth it and I will be coming back for more. | |
