Are champions born or made, produced from hours of training over years of dedication, or are they the special few who possess unique attributes or greatness?

The Sports Science Institute of South Africa (SSISA) – home to thought leaders in the field of Sports Science and at the cutting edge of latest developments in this arena – brings you two highly informative and controversial presentations, in conjunction with Discovery Vitality and Runner’s World magazine.

A sports scientist based with SSISA and the University of Cape Town Dr Tucker is a thought-leader. He is known for his outstanding ability to analyse situations/research and to present them in a highly accessible way to the general public. He is also part of the management team of the Springbok Sevens team, and consults to South African canoeing, rowing and triathlon as well as various media publications.
