Description
There are many twists and turns in a race that will prove challenging, yet scenic and interesting. The early parts of the route may seem easy, but the climb to Pallinghurst Road is a tester. The climb is hard, to be sure, but the views over the Northern Suburbs are magnificent and worth the effort. The race becomes easier as you head down into Parkview. Nice and easy does it as you wind this way and that, through the beautiful leafy suburb. The view of Zoo Lake and its environs is always a pleasure. Enjoy this relatively easy stretch before you make a fair climb back to the Wits Campus. The “Polly’s” of this route can be found at Wexford Road.
Unique Fact: Bruce Fordyce lives nearby, so give him a shout on the way up.
There will be giveaways for all finishers.
Pre-entries are available up until the 3 January 2012, but you can also enter on race day, from 6am.

What a great start to the new year with this very scenic run.
Great race! Very challenging. Couldve had more toilets and start was slow. (some bottle-necks leaving wits) Other wise it was well martialed. Great vibe through out race!
Always a good race to get rid of the cob webs. Well organized. Pity though the traditional drinking glasses were not the hand out at the end of the race.
Well organised, good vibes, interesting and scenic course, great way to start the year!
