I took part in the Half Marathon over a challenging, but not difficult, hilly course. The race was deserving of greater participation – plenty of parking space, registration was a doddle, the course was clearly marked, the marshalls were brilliant, water every 3km and – if you were going slowly enough, the views were excellent. I probably saw more of the countryside than was good for me and was very happy to see the finish after slogging my way up the final incline. Only the goody bag fell short – but what can one expect for less than R50! Over all, a really good event and highly recommended.
