Description
Satori Athletics Club brings you a race route that takes you through the heart of rural Noordhoek and environs.
A beautiful yet challenging ‘road’ run with a difference.
The Satori Camel Run route will lead you past equestrian estates, with scarecrows keeping a close watch on you at Noordhoek Farm Village, along shady tree-lined roads and through Ohio Farm where you will absorb our tranquil, country-feel surroundings.
The alpacas, guinea fowl and squirrels will greet you with curious stares as you run past and head on down to Beach Road.
The lush Monkey Valley Resort, directly below Chapman’s Peak, will keep you cool as you run through the Milkwoods towards Noordhoek’s famous Longbeach. With an amazing extended,
tough stretch of white sand!
You will then run along some serene Noordhoek roads towards Docke’s Farm en route to Noordhoek Common and enjoy a great feeling of open space with the stunning mountains looming above. Your return cruise through the tree-lined roads to finish the race at the Noordhoek Sports Fields, home to Satori Athletic Club, where you can enjoy refreshments at The Oasis. An experience you will always remember! Join us after the race with family and friends at one of our fine restaurants for a hearty breakfast or delicious lunch.
Entries are limited to 1001, but the final entry will be auctioned in aid of the chosen charity for this year’s event.

My Favourite on the WP Calendar. Apart from the Beauty and Varied Terrain, this is an extremely well organised race.
Entries are well organised.
Whole families come out to support and help at water points. Marshalling and Parking is well organised. It is still dark when we arrive but there are numerous Parking Marshalls with torches to light the way.
Vendors are there to supply us with all we needed pre and post race and the Tent is large enough for the wet weather at the start and finish. Happily this year the weather was superb.
The Prize Giving and Lucky Draw are also well organised. Numbers are given out at the end of the race to those who are staying for the Prize Giving so there is not an endless draw of numbers for people not attending and the shout of ‘Huis Toe’ as we hear at so many other races. Another feature that I think is so special is that the supporters are also allowed to take part in the lucky draw. After all many of them wait in the cold to support their loved ones.
The Handouts are always fantastic and varied. I also love the long sleeved t-shirt I purchased. With the new white buff I am all set for the rest of the winter!!
Well Done Satouri!!!!
Most beautiful, challenging, well organised race! I wil be back and back again!
