Description
A hard and undulating, point to point race covering three provinces; starting in the Northern Cape, entering the North West Province, turning into the Free State and finishing in the NWP.
The Marathon climbs fairly steeply up two gradients. Once over this part of the route, the rest of the way home to Christiana, Free State, is flat and takes runners through thorn veld and stunning scenery.
The half marathon is a moderate, point to point run to the finish at the Christiana river resort.
Pre-entries are available, but you can also enter on the morning. Walkers are welcome.

I enjoyed the 21 km race, for me the highlight was running over the bridge, the scenic views were to die for. After completing the race I actually thought that I should have done the 42km, but I guess there is always next year, I am definitely coming back….
