Location: Fritz Sonnenberg Road, Cape Town Stadium, Green Point
Description
One of Cape Town’s most popular half marathons, this year’s race will have a new start and finish with participants lining up outside Cape Town Stadium in Fritz Sonnenberg Road for the start, and finishing in the new Green Point Park. This year also sees the introduction of the RaceTec timing system for the half marathon; state-of-the-art technology also used by the Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon and Cape Argus Pick ‘n Pay Cycle Tour.
The half marathon route takes runners through the stadium precinct, V&A Waterfront, past 94.5 Kfm studios, along the Sea Point Promenade and out towards Camps Bay, up Kloof Road. The 10km winds its way along the Promenade, through the Waterfront and past Primedia Studios in Somerset Road, while the 5km Fun Run/Walk is routed in and around the Green Point Park, with its new walkways around the golf course.
The Bob’s for Good Foundation has been appointed as the official beneficiary for the event, a local, non-profit organization established out of the need to restore dignity and pride to underprivileged learners; by giving them a new pair of South African made, leather school shoes.
Entries close on Friday 23 September and no late entries will be accepted after this date. Only entries for the 5km Fun Run/Walk will be taken at registration and on race day.

Fantastic 21km run, if a bit crowded. My only problem was that I hurt my calf in the last few kms and was so irritated that I did not leave my bag a security (instead of the car), it was a long walk back (I did not know about the security check in option).
Great run. My first and DEFINITELY not my last
It was my first Gun Run and it was very beautiful scenery and the cool sea breeze was welcome to cool us down at the end.
