Milkwood Half Marathon 21.1km, 10km and 5km

The Cadiz Milkwood happens again this year and runners are invited to join the crew and sponsors for another rendezvous with the southernmost west coast of the Cape.

Twenty One Beautiful Kilometres of the western flank of the Cape Peninsula of Cape Town. Staged at the rustic and rugged Soetwater resort behind Kommetjie, this half marathon is rated as one to get to by previous participants. Run under the auspices of WPA and crewed by Harfield Harriers, the young and vibey athletics club from Newlands, The Cadiz Milkwood has enjoyed record attendances, often finding itself positioned comfortably between the Two Oceans and Comrades ultra’s on the running calendar. Kommetjie is a special getaway with a warm character and unspoilt surroundings.

The Cadiz Milkwood adds to this mood and attracts both sponsorship and runners from all over Cape Town and even out of town. 2011 heralds the start of a new relationship with Cadiz Holdings which we hope to extend for many more years. Cadiz Milkwood is green. No littering is allowed on the route and reward for this is a finisher’s tree in place of a metallic medal.
