Have you spent the last few months of this treacherous Cape Winter, training for the Pick n Pay Cape Times Knysna Forest Marathon? Don’t let all your training and dedication go to waste! RaceInterface has stepped in to the save the day, and bring you a forest marathon within 45 minutes of Cape Town.
Unique Fact: The run will take place near Grabouw, in the Elgin valley. This is one of the most scenic valleys in South Africa with beautiful mountain ranges, orchards, forests and diverse fynbos vegetation.
Join us in this wonderful valley for a scenic and relatively gentle 21km half marathon, similar to the Knysna Marathon that you spent months training for. Not up to a half marathon? Sign up for our 10km and still get your heart pumping in the Elgin Forests, while your mates and partners soak up the scenery on the 21km.
Given the extremely short notice, this is a no-frills, no fuss event so please do not expect medals, goodie bags, photo sales, t-shirts normally included in our race entry fees. The purpose of this event is simply to reward you for all your effort training for Knysna and to ease the disappointment brought about by the cancellation of the Knysna race.
