Participants will cover 70km in just over 3 Days, staged out of a single base camp in the Goldden Gate Highlands National Park. Don’t judge this race by its distances – conquering big mountains and altitude will prove challenging.
Day one: Along the Ribbock Hiking Trail are waterfalls, rock pools, Eland and Rhebok. You’ll encounter two relatively big climbs in the first half, but the second half is easier.
Day Two: A one hour bus ride will transport participants to unexplored sections of the park. “Welcome to the Little Serengeti”, where big rocky climbs and herds of zebra await. Traverse vast mountains, rolling hills and single track, before a long downhill descent, all the way home.
Day Three: An early morning climb to the top, an incredible 2 438m, in time for sunrise on the mountain.
Finishers will receive a medal, there will be daily lucky draw prizes, massages and a 24-hour snack bar. Families are welcome to camp with participants, and there will be free daily guided walks for supporters and families, starting at the venue.
