Now in its 6th year, this race attracts 3500 participants and follows a fast and flat route. All finishers receive a medal and there will be lucky draw prizes up for grabs.
Pre-entries are available, but you can also enter on race day.
One my favourite 21.1km. Great race and well organised. Improve the ease of pre-entering (I couldn’t find it on the web despite googling it in various formats) and provide a beer tent for after the race (pleeeazzzze!) and then definitely a 5 star race.
The conditions could not have been more different to last year, what a scorcher of a day. Race was well organised, started on time (thanks to a 7am start). The distance markers were good and visible. Metro cops were kind enough to stop traffic at the major intersection for us. The medal was an improvement on last year. I think there was a bit of confusion with regards to pre-entries as these weren’t available on Enter-Online. To nit-pick, the only waterpoint to have cold refreshments was the Sportsman’s warehouse point. This race has one of the better starts due to adequate space. Well done Carnival Runners!
Came to do a 5k but found a very well organised starting area and decided to do 10k. Had a great time – lots of marshals who were actually interested in their task, water points well taken care of (although I agree that more *cold* drinks would have been nice on this hot day) and last but not least a fairly flat track. Excellent race, I will be back.
did the 5k and what a dissapintment, the 5k is always the cast aways. we had to do it through the parking area of carnival city and through the go-kart track. why couldn’t we go on the road. really not a nice experience.
