This was a very enjoyable race. It is very underrated do to its starting location. I have run it for the past 3 years and was happy to see a significant increase in runners this year. The race started on time, waterpoints were well attended and venue well organised. I was pleased to see the formerly pothole-ridden entrance road was fixed this year. The 25km distance is unique and perfect at this stage of the season.
This race is a true hidden gem. The route snakes through parts of Jo’burg you would not normally go through and includes a nice lap around soccer city and Nasrec. Organisation, waterpoints and safety were top-notch!
