Unique Fact: An educational race which passes many historical sites.
A special shield will be given to all participants who finish the 10km in under 60 minutes, and medals to all other finishers. Medals will be awarded to all finishers of the 5km. Goodies bags will be given to the first 800 entrants, with surprises valued between R20 and R300). There will be spot prizes up for grabs.
There will also be an Absolute Eye-Care 10km Club Challenge for school and clubs. The first 10 members finishing together in club or school colours will be declared the winners of a trophy and R2000.
Start times: 10km: 7am; 5km: 7:15am
Pre-entries will be available at local sports stores on 14 September 2012 and on 15 September 2012. You can also enter on race day, from 5am.
