If I page through my old training logbooks I am amazed to see how often we ran time trials in the past. In fact along with the weekend club long run, the time trial formed the backbone of every decent training week. In the eighties time trials were so popular many runners ran two or three a week.

The New Comrades Date

The New Comrades Date

I’m not sure if I’m alone but I really love the good news that the next two Comrades marathons are being held in May. May has traditionally been the Comrades month and as far as I am concerned it has never been satisfactory holding the race in mid June.
